Ms. Gan Yunzhuo

Yunzhuo Gan is Co – Founder of GL Piano Education. She is a composer, pianist, and a music educator. She graduated from Manhattan School of Music, Shanghai Conservatory of Music with two master’s degrees. 

Yunzhuo is the former Executive Principal of GIPAC Academy and Piano Faculty of Cambridge Center for Adult Education in Boston and Piano Faculty of Social Art Practice Base of Shanghai Conservatory of Music.

Yunzhuo is also a Resident Composer of Boston Chinese Musicians Association and New Asia Chamber Music Society.She is a Co – Founder of Sforzando Composers’ Collective.

As a performer, she has performed throughout the world. Notably, she twice played for the former president of China Hu Jintao at the Shanghai World Expo and Paralympic Games with the Shanghai Chinese Instrument Orchestra. Yunzhuo also was invited to perform in Germany and Belgium and was hosted by the mayor of Ehingen in Germany. She attended the "Prague spring" International Music Festival and the Lyons Music Festival and the closing ceremony of the Cannes International Film Festival. Yunzhuo was Invited to Paris and Marseilles by the Chinese Consulate at Paris and Marseilles.

As a composer, Yunzhuo also held a concert which was called “The Charm” in Carnegie Hall as a major composer. Her work was presented in various venues including the Carnegie Hall, Merkin Hall, The New Jersey performing Arts Center and Brooklyn Art center, Riverside Church, Shanghai Concert Hall, Shanghai Oriental Art center and Paris Culture center.

Yunzhuo has also won numerous awards and prizes, including Honorable Mention in both the 4th and 5th “EACA international composition competition”. (EACA:East-Asian Composers Association), third prize in "Shanghai Spring International Music Festival fourth campus music pioneer national invitation tournament", honorable mention in the TMSK Lithuania The National Composition Competition and third Prize in “Confucius” National Composition Competition. 

She won the Dulcimer Music and Art Achievement Award by the United Nations
